Kalamassery: 30 houses to be built under ‘Snehaveedu’
KOCHI: As part of ‘Snehaveedu’, a housing project for economically backward families, 30 houses would be constructed in Kalamassery assembly constituency.
Addressing the media here on Saturday, industries minister P Rajeeve said 25 of the 30 houses would be constructed for the families of widows. Rajeeve said the project is being expanded in collaboration with Chittilappilly Foundation and Cial. Construction of four houses had already been completed.
A project to set up a dialysis centre at Binanipuram at Kadungallur in Kalamassery would also be implemented soon with the support of Chittilappilly Foundation. The dialysis centre would be constructed at a cost of Rs 1 crore, the minister said.
He said both the projects were designed as part of the social security scheme ‘Oppam’, being implemented for various categories of people.
