Madhya Pradesh: All plots at Sinhasa IT Park to allocated by year-end
INDORE: Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) is contemplating floating fresh tenders for allocation of the remaining 12 plots in Sinhasa Park by the year-end.
Of the total 53 plots in Sinhasa IT Park, MPSEDC has allotted 33 plots to IT/ITES players, with a proposed investment exceeding Rs 100 crore, according to officials.
“We are working on floating tenders for 12 plots in the park. We have already allotted 33 plots to industries, and around eight plots have encroachment issues. These 33 industries have proposed to invest more than Rs 100 crore and generate employment for approximately 1500 individuals,” said an official from MPSEDC, requesting anonymity.
Out of the occupied plots, around seven industries have commenced operations from Sinhasa, while the remaining plots are at various stages of development.
Initially, the IT Park struggled to attract investors due to its distance from the main city centre, prompting the department to modify the revenue model to entice investments.
Sinhasa IT Park, under MPSEDC, spans 112 acres on the Indore-Ahmedabad highway and comprises industrial plots and a four-storey building. Companies from the IT/ITES sector have also acquired close to 30,000 sq ft in the IT Park building at Sinhasa.
“We have sold approximately 30,000 sq ft of space to companies in the building of Sinhasa IT Park, which has been constructed on 80,000 sq ft,” said the official.
MPSEDC intends to lease out different sections of the four-storey IT Park, which has four blocks on each floor, to IT companies, defence incubation centres and export-oriented software development firms.
