Chandigarh housing board sends final reminder on IT Park high-end flats project

CHANDIGARH: The CHB has issued a final letter to the Punjab and Haryana governments, PGI and the Chandigarh administration to give their consent and deposit 25% amount for the construction high-end flats at IT Park or else the scheme would be withdrawn in two months.

The letter, sent on September 19, reads, “The consent to purchase of flats at the IT Park, Chandigarh, along with upfront fee of 25% is still awaited. Therefore, requested to provide your consent and pay the 25% upfront payment within two months failing which offer will be treated as withdrawn.”

This final letter has come after numerous reminders that had elicited no response. Sources said the wants to get clarity from the four authorities about the project, otherwise the land would be used for other residential purposes for the public.

The high-end flat project costing Rs 700 crore is to come up on a 6.75 acre land pocket, which is part of the 123 acres that was transferred from Parsvnath developers to the CHB.

The CHB plans to keep five towers for the Haryana government, four for Punjab, two for PGI and one for the administration. Each tower will have 28 luxurious flats.

The CHB had given a contract to a Panchkula-based company for Rs 26 lakh to prepare the design of the project. A total of 24 companies had applied before the CHB.
