Mumbai: Rehabilitation plan for BDD stalls okayed
MUMBAI: The state cabinet on Wednesday approved a proposal to rehabilitate the 257 commercial stalls on the three BDD premises at Worli, Naigaum and N M Joshi Marg.
According to a government press release, the stall owners must have at least three of the six documents stipulated such as penalty receipts from the BMC, notices issued by the civic body and collector, notice for survey, penalty receipt or regularisation slip from the Mumbai Development department chawl director or administrator.
The project will provide 500 sq feet free flats to 15,584 tenants. A competent authority will decide on the eligibility of the pre-2000 stall structures for rehabilitation.
